So... I was sitting here thinking how great it was to talk to my dad and Steve's dad today, and I thought - I want to call my Grandpa's. Well... I think it just hit me, for real, that I don't have any grandpa's left on the earth. Sure, I have Steve's 2 grandpa's, which is great. But... I just want to say. I miss my grandpa's.
In the next couple of days, I will create posts about my 3 grandpa's... things that I remember about them, things that I feel, along with some photos. So, here's to Great Grandpa Christy, Grandpa Bottoms, and Papaw Birtcil! I wonder if they celebrate Fathers Day in Heaven? Happy Fathers day Grandpa.

I don't have any living grandparents of my own either. I do miss them at times like this! I am sure that they celebrate it heaven, and I'm sure that they know we are thinking about them too.
Yeah... It's sort of strange now, not having any grandpa's left. I've had so many grandparents since I was little. Now I'm down to 3; My maternal and fraternal grandmothers, and a step-Grandmother.
When I was born, I had 1 Great Great Grandma, 2 Great Grandma's, 2 Great Grandpa, 2 Grandma's, 2 Step-Grandma's, 2 Grandpa's, 1 Step Grandpa.... seems like I'm missing someone. They didn't start passing away till I was 7... and then it was only every 3 or 4 years. But I've 3 of my closest in since 2000.
I don't have any grandpa's on earth either. I miss them too. Jason has both of his, but like you said it's not the same. Grandpas are great. :)
I have one grandpa still alive and I love him so very much! He has always been there for me and has such wonderful stories he shares with my kids. He is such an inspiration to all of us. Thank you for reminding me of how blessed I am to have him. There isn't a day that goes by that he's not thought of and I cherish all the memories that I have with him. I think I will follow along your footsteps and put a tribute to him on my blog as well. I do believe that grandpa's are celebrated in heaven, I don't see how they couldn't be!
I think it's so AWESOME that you still have a grandpa that's hangin around!
